Tech team help wrap hundreds of gifts for the children of Swindon

A TECH team in Swindon got in the festive mood to support a school vacation club and wrap hundreds of student gifts.

Ntegra staff partnered with teachers Sean Harper and Mike Jones to put the finishing touches on 300 Christmas gifts for kids across town.

Sean and Mike run the Just For Fun Vacation Clubs which support children, many from low-income families, during school vacations with fun activities that are often sports-related.

The couple work full time as teachers and have decided to make sure every child has a gift to open when they attend the vacation club later this month.

Sean said: “We were very aware that for some of the kids who visit our vacation clubs, their Christmas might not involve a lot of gifts, so this was our little way of giving back and saying thank you.

“However, the time it would take to wrap hundreds of gifts was very intimidating. We cannot thank the Ntegra team enough for coming together to support us.”

The tech company has an office inside the historic Carriage Works near Swindon Station.

When the employees heard about the difficult task of packing the two teachers, they eagerly offered their support and got together after work to help them out.

Ntegra’s Katie Boot said: “When I saw the piles of freebies, I thought it was going to take a long time.

“However, once we all got started it was actually pretty easy. We got all the work done in under two hours.

“Being able to give back in this way, especially to children in our community, is important to us and we really enjoyed the experience. ”

The business started in 2003 when independent IT consultants Andy Jefferies and Bill Hart founded it.

The company continued to work with brands such as Vodafone, Waitrose, and WPP. The team now has 40 employees in Swindon itself as well as IT associates based around the world.

Its staff specialize in helping businesses improve their digital sites and web presence as well as their internal communication networks.
