Seabury Solutions deploys Alkym to help Korean National Fire Agency manage operations and maintenance of its fleet of helicopters

SEJONG-SI, Republic of Korea, October 28, 2021– (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Seabury Solutions, a New York-based subsidiary of Seabury Capital Group LLC and a market leader in providing M&E and MRO software solutions to the aviation industry, announced a new customer engagement with the Korean National Fire Agency (“KNFA”) to deploy the Alkym® platform as the backbone of the agency’s “Fire Helicopter Operations Information System”.

The new system is intended to enable the KNFA 119 air traffic control center (119-ATC) to manage its fleet of 29 helicopters in a safe and efficient manner, in particular by facilitating the integration of operations, maintenance, flight crew training and management, as well as ensuring the reliability, safety and quality of helicopters.

Seventeen air corps across the country currently perform maintenance individually, making it difficult to purchase spare parts in bulk and maintenance that requires specialized equipment and capabilities. As a result, the efficiency of flight operations has decreased and maintenance costs have increased. To meet these challenges, KNFA has set out to create an aeronautical firefighting maintenance division within the next 5 years which will carry out MRO work internally.

A new maintenance information system will improve the operational safety of the equipment by establishing a systematic connection with the “Fire Helicopter Operations Information System”. In addition, the implementation of Alkym will allow the agency not only to provide accurate and critical information for maintenance, but also to respond to disasters more quickly by providing immediate helicopter support.
