Instructing the security agencies not to waver in the face of the failures of the Buhari administration but to rise to the task, hunt down the bandits and save the victims, the party lamented the continued insecurity in the country and urged all citizens to be alert and assist the security agencies in their real efforts to secure the country under an incompetent administration.

The PDP urged Nigerians to continue praying for the safety and freedom of all compatriots languishing in the lair of their captors, while instructing governments at all levels to rise to the occasion and devise more effective strategies. to secure the nation.

The FCT Minister, while commenting on developments, also urged the security agencies to ensure that the six people, including a university lecturer, Professor Bassey Ubom, his son and his girl, kidnapped by thugs from the quarters of the university staff be saved. of their captors.

A statement by the minister’s spokesman, Anthony Ogunleye, claimed that patrol teams of security personnel made up of military, police, local vigilantes and university security officials were currently on the trail of thugs, adding that concerted efforts were being made. ensure adequate security for all educational establishments in the territory.

He assured members of the academic community that the government will do whatever is necessary to ensure the safe return of those abducted, while calling on members of the public to always support and cooperate with security agencies, whenever the need was felt.

The other abductees were Professor Joseph Obanza, Malam Sambo Mohammed and Doctor Tobit.

But the university’s vice-chancellor, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, called on members of the public to pray hard for God’s intervention.
