JaPen Establishes 120 Keluarga Malaysia Communities in Penang, Says State Chief Information Officer | Malaysia

KEPALA BATAS, April 23 – No less than 120 Keluarga Communities Malaysia (KKM) have been established by the Penang Department of Information (JaPen) to serve as a government platform for disseminating information quickly, accurately and easily understandable by the inhabitants of the State. .

Penang Information Director Haniff Hassan said the Keluarga Malaysia Community (KKM) also plays a role as JaPen’s strategic partner in disseminating information and government policies to people from all walks of life.

“Penang JaPen will always help the KKM to disseminate and deliver information and government policies to the people with the aim of advancing the country,” he said after Keluarga Malaysia’s Community Ramadan tour here tonight.

“We also provide support and assist the KKM in various programs on the ground, including in terms of advice and cooperation with various agencies, to help convey the aspirations of the government so that the people have a better understanding.

The program was chaired by the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, who is also an MP for Kepala Batas.

Previously, orphans and asnaf (those who were eligible to receive zakat or tithe) were entitled to Raya purchases for the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration.

Further commenting, Haniff said that the program also helps to strengthen relationships among community members in Keluarga Malaysia to implement its three key axes of inclusion, solidarity and gratitude.

He said the program also uses a two-pronged approach to enhance Penang JaPen’s cooperation with government departments and agencies as well as non-governmental entities.

“The Keluarga Malaysia community also plays a role in bridging the understanding gap of current government policies, producing an informed community as well as building communication networks as agents of change,” he said. . — Bernama
